Tray of Many Things
A versatile, space-saving dice tray inspired by the Deck of many things*
*An item in Dungeons and Dragons which holds cards with a wide variety of magical effects
Target User: Tabletop RPG players who primarily use digital platforms
Problem
Desk space can be limited if a laptop and notebook are used while playing, and open surfaces can result in lost dice.
Goal
Make a dice tray which minimizes utilized space and incorporates storage for relevant game accessories.
Research
Players typically have two windows open - one for the digital tabletop, and one for the character sheet.
(One of my own is displayed)
All necessary tabs are opened before the game begins, and meta-gaming (looking things up or bringing in prior knowledge during game) is frowned upon.
Existing high-quality dice trays can be expensive, single-purpose, and large, taking up valuable table space with minimal function.
This product aims to utilize the space above the keyboard of a laptop, while still allowing for trackpad/mouse use
